First Gifts of Christmas!!!!

A LOT Of SNOW!!!!

Grace could not wait to get outside. We were concerned with her just getting over her ear infections and Saturday's blizzard conditions, but Sunday brought out some fun in the sun. She wandered through the snowy drifts and even picked up a shovel!

This was AFTER the first round of shoveling and still AM on Saturday!!!

There were at least two more rounds of shoveling to come!


Sunday morning it was beautiful, until it was time to shovel....AGAIN!

December 19 and 20, 2009 has made its way into the record books around here. I think we had an official total of 15-20 inches... according to the neighborhood measuring tape. We made a great weekend out of holiday parties being cancelled by inviting over the neighbors and just enjoying some old fashioned fun around the kitchen table and Saturday night football... of course!!!

First Snow

Beach toys came in very handy during the snow!!!

It was very wet snow, so playing in the yard was nearly impossible.

But, jumping into daddy's arms is always possible.

Lazy Days at the Beach

Grace's first time down to the Ocean. We had figured out that she loved the pool but had stayed away from the sand.... those of you with children can understand why!
She wasn't sure about it at first but by day two, she wanted to jump in the waves.

The sand obviously didn't bother her... posing for her scopes man!!!

Decided to just bask in the sun for a while and take in the scenery.

Summer Fun

What fun was had!!!

With Brian taking off each Friday (because we were furloughed so only worked a four day week..loved it), we traveled to OC on a regular basis and made ourselves like locals. It took me back to my days at SSU and we had great weather and lots of fun with friends and family.

Sohpie decided it was time for Grace to get up from her nap!!!

Can't believe summer is over

So back to school we go!!! I can't believe the summer is over. School starts Monday the 24th here and then Grace goes to her new babysitter, Ms. Jan, next Monday on the 31st. Lots of changes, though she has been spoiled on vacation with mom and dad and then watched over by grandparents for two weeks!!! I am working on getting some cute swimmy pictures up as she loves the pool, no problems with sand and waves and even had a great time at the Jolly Roger Splash Mountain water park two weekends in a row. Enjoyed Sophie's 2nd birthday party in Delaware and can't believe that time has flown. It seems that both of them were just learning to walk and drink out of cups and now they have personalities... or little attitudes in Grace's case:)

I am going to try to get better, I promise. I did well for the first year of Grace's life, but in the last few months it has gone downhill. We have had an extremely busy summer, mom working summer school, dad working, cousin Marjie got married, Grammy and Grandad went to Iowa, Nana and Pop keeping busy, lazy days with Aunt Sue, Kylee and Katie at the pool...... you get the picture... Speaking of pictures, i downloaded over 500... so there are some new ones to view... ENJOY!!!!
